Modern Wedding at a Contemporary Art Museum
Vibrant floral designs and modern details enliven one couple's wedding held at a contemporary art museum. They wanted a reception venue that would showcase the city to their out-of-town guests. They knew they'd found the place after visiting Terzo Piano, a restaurant located in the Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago. The wedding ceremony was held at the couple's parish, St. Michael in Old Town. "It's one of the most beautiful churches in the city," says Kristen. At the reception at Terzo Piano, cocktail hour featured music by guitarist Jacob Sweet. Books on the history of the Art Institute of Chicago served as escort cards, with belly bands hand-lettered by the couple's wedding coordinator, Marilyn Frisz of Honey Bee Weddings.
